About
Leak detection technology has not changed for over 80 years in India, with many agencies not fixing leaks till they are visible and reported by customers. This inefficiency causes excessive non-revenue water (NRW) resulting in losses of up to INR 70,000 crore to the Indian economy. Aumsat is aiming to fill this gap through a multidimensional water development strategy using ready-to-use satellite data and analysis for smart agriculture, water, and surveillance sectors. They offer a comprehensive system for integrated water management through a combination of leak detection technology, groundwater detection technology, and water quality monitoring technology. Their objective is to prevent NRW, ensuring better access to clean water, sanitation services, and water management. During a recent project in Udaipur under AMRUT 2.0, Aumsat analysed the Udaipur-Jaisamand pipeline, identifying 35 leaks, resulting in saving over 55,000 liters of water per day.
