Midline field Evaluations

Assessing Impact and Scalability Across India

In-depth field evaluations were conducted for 14 organizations across India, offering valuable insights into each technology’s effectiveness. These assessments captured farmers’ perspectives on challenges and experiences, evaluating each organization’s scalability, affordability for smallholder farmers, water use efficiency, impact on crop yield, and overall farmer-centric approach.

Four Agtech organizations have been selected as finalists for the challenge, each demonstrating outstanding potential in solving, scaling, and driving breakthroughs in the AgWater sector over the past 12 months.

Workshop: Scaling AgWater Technologies

Facilitated by Emmanuel Murray, this workshop provided finalists with an opportunity to reassess and refine their product-market fit strategies.

Each finalist actively participated, presenting their approaches and engaging in in-depth discussions to gain a deeper understanding of their own and others' strategies. This collaborative environment enabled participants to critically evaluate their current PMF strategies and plan more effectively for future growth.

Grand Finale

India's AgWater ecosystem came together to celebrate the two-year journey of the DCM Shriram AgWater Challenge. EF Polymer was awarded the winner of the Challenge for demonstrating exceptional evidence of scale and impact throughout. A Special Recognition Prize was awarded to CultYvate for showcasing strong potential to scale and impact 1 million farmers.

The event featured a panel discussion on ‘The Investment Mismatch in AgWater’, with sectoral experts and investors, along with a screening of the documentary "To Turn a Tide" – highlighting the voices of farmers, innovators, and enablers.
